Jewellery Box.
Made from Kauri and veneered in book matched Burr Totata with Horeria inlayed stringing, Kauri cross banding and Northern Rata edging.
Intarsia inlays on the top and also the escutcheon are Fijian Mother of Pearl.
The box has imported brass hinges, an English lock and a hand made key.
The box is lined with raised bead Kauri and the base has Baize as does the bottom. It has been traditionally French Polished and waxed.
This piece has been recently exhibited at the Aigantighe Gallery for the Alpine Energy Art Awards.
